Library Resources

You can find the latest information about the Mills F.W. Olin Library summer hours here. When planning your activities in the Mills College F.W. Olin Library, please keep in mind that reference librarians will only be on duty during specific hours and by appointment.

Graduate students in particular should be sure to attend the library resources orientation on Saturday, June 29th, given by a librarian from Middlebury College’s Davis Family Library. Middlebury College also has an online guide for Italian. For additional information regarding library resources available to students of the Italian School, please visit the Middlebury at Mills Information Gateway.

In addition to the resources provided by the Middlebury and Mills libraries, the Library of the University of California Berkeley has graciously agreed to once again continue our usual summer collaboration. In order to request permission to access UC Berkeley’s Garner (Main) Stacks, you must complete an online request form here BEFORE the day of you visit. If you plan to visit on a Sunday, the form must be filled out before 2pm the preceding Friday. If your request is approved, you will receive your pass as an email attachment. You must print this out BEFORE coming to the UC Berkeley campus. You should also check the hours before visiting the Doe Library. Interested students can view the UC Berkeley online Italian Studies guide here. You can access licensed e-resources by using any of the public terminals in the libraries. Scanning to email, cloud storage and USB drive is free. Please click here for more information.
